Queerly Book Club is an inclusive book club with focus on queer literature. Cultivating community through reading, understanding, and affirmation.
Queerly is an initiative created with my friend Mack Ostermier in summer of 2020 after a very quiet Pride month in our collective pause to elevate Black voices. We approach reading and dialogue as an effort to better understand queer history and experience in recognition of intersectional identities and human rights.
The book club meets monthly to discuss reading, with a film viewing once per quarter in lieu of reading, and collaborates annually in planning a local LGBTQIA advocacy project.
