GRADUATION DAY!!!

Graduation day flew by so QUICKLY!  I am honored to be a graduate of such a prestigious school. It has taken me 6 years to complete my BFA from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago--the sacrifice and hard work that I have invested in my education has been tireless. However, my personal values of community and humanity at large have never aligned more in any other space and this experience has made me more fiercely passionate about activating the social landscape I am a part of and hungry to keep growing as I know there can be no limit to my effort or compassion if I stay true to those values.

Here are a couple of quick photos I took during the commencement ceremony...

I will be taking a course at school and fulfilling an internship with fashion designer Kylee Alexander over the summer.  Then, I am taking a year break from school, working freelance to allow myself the capacity to focus on building out a presence in the Chicago art scene.  Depending on where my year-long adventures take me, I plan on applying to a master's program at SAIC.

I am thankful for the support system of family and friends who have unflinchingly pushed me along my way, especially as I struggled to balance working and school and at times failed miserably at being fully present.

This journey isn't over so stay tuned because I can promise you, this is truly only the beginning to my story (yes, a very long winded story--as all of mine are, LOL)
